Fun side story: The first time I heard Santigold was exactly five years ago tomorrow opening for Bjork at Madison Square Garden. No one in the audience knew who she was but everyone was floored by her performance. If I remember right she only had three songs on her Myspace and I obsessed over them after that show. Almost a year later her debut dropped and she blew up everywhere. Now her follow-up comes and exceeds expectations all over the place.
